Ultrasonic
Distance Sensor
This
sensor has the ability to measure the distance between
itself and an
object.
Distance sensors work with light , infrared radiation,
radio
waves and ultrasonic sound and use various measuring
methods. Sound is
propagated as a wave.
An echo is reflected back to the source of the
ultrasonic sound and the echo is then received as a
signal and evaluated.
The time difference between the transmission and reception
of the signal
provides information about the distance between the
obstacle and the
sensor .
D1 and D2 are available as connectors on the Robo Interface.
The
range of the sensor is up to four meters. The numerical
value, which is
shown, corresponds to the distance in centimeters.

Optical
Color Sensor
The
fischertechnik Color Sensor transmits red light, which
is reflected
with a different strength from different colored surfaces.
The quantity
of the reflected light is measured by the phototransistor
and outputted as
a voltage value between 0V and 10V. The measured value
is dependent on
the ambient brightness and the distance of the sensor
from the colored
surface. You can read this value through the inputs
A1 and A2 and
processed numerical value from 0 to 1000 in your program.

The IR trail sensor is a digital infrared
sensor for the identification of
a black trail on a white background at a distance of
5 to 30 mm. It
consists of two transmission and two receiver elements.
For connection
you need two digital inputs and the 9V voltage supply

SET. The second receiver serves as a control expander
to double your motor control ability. Switching between
the receivers takes place via a key from the broadcasting
station. The IR CONTROL set is required to the use of

Consisting
of a battery pack, NiCad, 8.4V / 940mAh, and the "Turbo
Charge" microcontroller charging device developed especially
for this unit. Charge monitoring by means of the -DeltaU
process. This prevents the battery from being overloaded.
Once the battery reaches full charge, the microcontroller
automatically switches to the charge maintenance mode.
